Ekofarm is a fundamentally new in our time (and in fact the oldest traditional) approach to agriculture and livestock. Production on ecological farms different types of products implies a complete rejection of the use of pesticides, herbicides, any chemicals for treating plants, which can change the composition of cultivated vegetables and fruits.

Today, the concept of environmentally friendly farms and sustainable agriculture based on closed ecological cycles is becoming increasingly popular in Europe, Canada and the United States.

It adopted international and national standards governing the activities and work of such farms. The main emphasis in these standards is on the complete replacement of any pesticides with organic fertilizers (peat, manure, compost).

Experts and analysts of the United States and Europe predict that by 2020, natural products will take a leading position in the world food market and will cease to be the innovation that it is now. As recent studies show, 70% of farms in the Russian Federation today completely abandoned the use of pesticides and herbicides, however, forced: domestic farmers simply do not have enough money to buy them. So many Russian agricultural enterprises can try on the status of an eco-farm. Based on the fact that all products labeled "eco", "bio" and "organic" is 1.5-2 times more expensive than other products, it can be assumed that ekofarma is not only useful for the consumer, but also quite profitable for the owner of such farms.

However, such well-being, according to botanists and agronomists, can not last long: the use of fertilizers exclusively natural organic substances sooner or later will lead to depletion of the soil, a sharp decrease in its fertility, and hence the amount of products produced.

It turns out that ekofarma still are not perfect closed cycle, which will fully replace the products grown with chemical fertilizers, natural. Mineral fertilizers still have to be used, but they must meet international standards.Experts agree that the situation can be changed by the development of organic agriculture and ecotourism. This will ensure the sustainable development of the industry, jobs, high quality of life and stable income of the villagers.

Our country has a high potential for the development of this direction. Huge territories, unique nature, good climatic conditions, fertile land — in such conditions, it is very promising to produce eco-products, which are now in great demand both here and abroad. We can grow organic fruits and vegetables — they, according to the latest data, contain up to 40% of antioxidants, which significantly reduce the risk of cancer and cardiovascular disease. We can raise animals in an organic way (in the milk of "organic" cows antioxidant levels up to 90% higher than their normal counterparts). Plus a large number of minerals, trace elements and other nutrients that contain all eco-products…
